The George Washington Masonic Memorial is located in Alexandria, a suburb of Washington, which is located less than 15 kilometers from the center of the capital of the United States. Here you will find this amazing memorial dedicated to General George Washington, first President, founding father, and Mason, which was awarded the position of Grand Master of the Lodge in Alexandria.

The tower has a clear reference to the Tower of Alexandria, the ancient lighthouse for sailors, and the scholars of all time, full of a symbol which is full of masonry. The Memorial, whose tower is over 100 meters (climb to the top to enjoy the beautiful view), was built three times the 1922 and 1932, although internally, the works were completed only in 1970. The Alexander Nevsky Cathedral in Sofia is the seat of the Orthodox Patriarch of Bulgaria, the highest religious authority in the country, perhaps for this reason, it is one of the largest Eastern Orthodox cathedrals in the world; for sure one of the main tourist attractions in Sofia, 2 million and half of inhabitants, the capital of Bulgaria.

The Cathedral is dedicated to Alexander Nevsky, Slavic national hero who led the Russians to victory in the decisive battle of the Neva, against the invading Swedes (one of the crucial events of the story). Inside, decorated with Italian polychrome marbles, retains a variety of sculptures, paintings and frescoes of the greatest artists of the country.
