The top ten craziest festivals in the world

Today want to tell some of the top ten festivals that feature some very extravagant city in the world.

It can be of various types, from music to local tradition, including masks, costumes and parties decidedly strong colors. Some are very familiar with it, but others are not known by all.

Songkran

Glastonbury Music Festival:
It celebrates in Pilton, England, for three days in the last weekend of June. One, if not the largest music festival in the world. Last year there were 177,000 attendance and 700 musical performances. All this crazy party after excluding the evening and the general debauchery that goes with it.

Songkran:
It is held anywhere in the Thilandia, especially in Bangkok and Chang Mai. It occurs at about mid-April. It celebrates the Thai New Year, the solar New Year, lasts a week and the people walk down the street, on the ground, and takes the bucketful of water, to symbolize the expulsion of bad luck.

Bay to Breakers:
This time we are in San Francisco, California, on the third Sunday of May. It’s a race of about 7.4 miles in which participating in many people dressed in mask or costume (and sometimes focusing on nudity). It ‘refers to the terrible earthquake that struck the city of San Francisco in 1906.

Calgary Stampede:
It takes place in Calgary, in Alberta, Canada in the second week of July and consists of concerts, rodeos, festivals which attract nearly one million tourists every year.

Up Helly Aa Fire Festival:
It is celebrated in Edinburgh, Scotland, in late January. And it is the celebration of the new year viking. Drinking, celebrating and sometimes is even ignited a Viking ship preserved.

Carnival: Not all, but especially that of Rio De Jaineiro, in Brazil, which takes place between January and February. And one of the most famous in the world, a week of parades, dances, extravagant colors and lots of cocktails…! Recommended for all experience once in your life…

Oktoberfest:
It is held in Monaco, Germany, the last week of September or early October. It is the only festival entirely dedicated to the culture of beer accompanied by worst, sausages and potatoes. Popular stop for tourists from around the world.

The battle of oranges:
It is held in Ivrea, Italy, in February. It’s all in the name: one throws oranges between guards, shooters and orange thrower…

Ultra Music Festival:
Fly to Miami, Florida, in March. It’s a festival of electronic music with guests such great names. Only advice and rule: dressing up in world’s most absurd.

White Nights Festival:
In St. Petersburg, Russia, at the end of June. It is held once a year and includes a number of ballets, operas, musical events with Russian singers and actors. The culmination of the festivities is during the White Nights, where there is also a fireworks and the arrival of a boat (fake) pirates engaged in (false) battles.
