August is not the best month to visit Manhattan in New York, when the asphalt bubbles, children play with the water that comes out of the hydrants, and to recover a little, ‘is almost obligatory to walk into a store, pretending want to buy something.

In this case, if we arrive in New York this summer, it is good to know that the Statue of Liberty, one of the most visited spot in New York, is not yet open to the public, and that the recent rumors tell that it will be until the end of autumn, at the latest by the end of 2012 (we’ll see). Say it is not open, it means that you can not access to the Crown, the Fort and the pedestal of the statue, in practice it can be seen only from the “ground floor”, where you arrive and depart by ferry.
