The city of Kutaisi probably, most likely, is not among the most popular tourist destinations. This is the second urban reality of Georgia, after the capital Tbilisi. And right from the first to the second city of the country has been moved to the national Parliament, who left the old Palace of the Soviets to arrive in the new headquarters, you see in the picture.
A very modern structure and equally extravagant: it seems to be almost the head id an astronaut buried in the sand. A cross between the hangars of Star Wars, the swimming pools and glass bubbles, which symbolize the transparency of institutions. The new palace was built not by chance in the same area where there was, until 2009, the memorial to Soviet soldiers who died during the Second World War. The fate has willed that the President then in Office-rather hostile towards Russia-have recently lost the elections in favor of another politician, said to be politically very close to Moscow (so maybe the memorial will rebuild it..).
